It is very cool today, 15, with an overcast sky that will bring rain before the evening. Though it is nothing like what has occurred in Iowa, the flooding there has or is threatening to destroy 1-3 Million acres of corn. Already corn prices are up 11% and what was already going to be an expensive summer for food has just got more expensive. I don't think it will be as bad here in Canada as long as our own crops fair well.
A few news notes, Air Canada has slashed 2,000 jobs and lots of flights. This shouldn't be a surprise, it is too expensive to fly half full planes. As much as the flight industry has tried to provide convenience, it just isn't possible. If you want to fly somewhere in Canada or in North America, you might only have 1 or 2 time slots to do so. It doesn't affect me and if I wanted to fly somewhere, I would rather pay less and fly on a full plane because convenience of flights isn't a factor for me.
Another severed foot has washed up along the B.C. coast and has added to the mysterious nature of these feet. Below is an article about the story. I have both of mine, do you?

Okay so this isn't really a new news story but Jewel has gone country. This isn't something I knew until I heard a song by her the other day and thought it was a little different. Upon listening to a few more songs I realized it is pretty good. She has always had a good voice and fits good with twangy sounds.
