"There's things I might have said, only wish I could, now I'm leaking life faster than I'm leaking blood.."

The blogging returns today. I couldn't neglect it any longer.
A friend got married on Saturday and it was a very good day. It was nice to catch up with some old friends and to celebrate new beginnings. The weather was great for it and it has been pretty nice lately. Though yesterday it was a little warm and rained, forcing my weekly visit to my grandparents for dinner indoors.
Below are two pieces of writing, one from earlier and one I wrote yesterday night sitting in Williams.
"Love is a ghost train howling on the radio..."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3ZW4hkYfsg
The first one was slightly inspired by Ghost Train above.
Life’s Train
Twelve brass bells rang
Life’s train left the station
Fine drops of rain fell
Faces appeared and disappeared
Everyone safely behind glass
I peered down the tracks
Analyzing steel and wood
Before returning home
A place of trinkets and plants
I will be alright alone
There is no one left to disappoint
Life can be easier now
The journey is over
For better or worse
Everyone is gone
My destination has unfolded
Wet skin and dust particles
Commingled in a bathroom
I have run the water hot
Surrounded by steam and sweat
My skin is relaxing
Not young bones are cracking
My mind is alright
Without its heart to correct it
The box was put on the train
Never to be opened again
Things written cannot be undone
Signed, seal and delivered
A song without eyes
Only a voice to sing it
This home will be quieter
Devoid of its inhabitants
I had no choice but to evict them
They had overstayed their welcome
Kindness can only tolerate so much
Until it becomes a form of bitterness
The water runs over porcelain
Transparency seeping through white
An afternoon ringing its passing
Even when ears are not listening
I have not heard anything lately
Coming from where it used to
How quickly years are forgotten
When they mean absolutely nothing.

Refilled and Reinvented
The day has began emptying itself of light
Shortly very little will remain for the night
Electricity has made the moon almost invisible
The fullness of its beauty is hardly recognized
From inside our technologically advanced rooms
Televisions flashing images by the seconds
Love is altered or broken in a text message
Tiny characters of our once prized alphabet
Complex and long words have been shortened
There is not the need for them in this generation
Culturally things are different and maybe easier
Though it is very possible to become disconnected
Friendships are instant messages without real words
Conversation and storytelling skills have been replaced
You can think you know someone but really do not
Their eyes are mysteries behind flashing screens
They are completely different under the moon
When the summer has peaked and September waits
For Carnies to return to their autumn fairs
Prized rides in the memories of our youths
Stuffed animals won, adored and forgotten
The mind freezes their memory for the right moment
When sentimentality is needed to heal our wounds
A grandmother, a park, a flower or a trinket
Small things are what matters most in the end
They will force tears out of our eyes eventually
No one is immune to their formation and release
Human rain and necessary for sustaining life
Without them nothing will grow from our heart
There will be no forgiveness or reconciliation
Everything does not have to remain broken
The light can be refilled after being emptied
The night can be reinvented with moonlight
Real beauty is more than a fancy gadget
Even if it does transmit the world to us
Life’s real stories are going to remain invisible
Until we head out in search of them
Somewhere along the way we will find our own
The result might be hardly recognizable
Because of its beauty in the moonlight.

I have only watched one movie in the past week and it was called Transsiberian. The movie was okay, it starred Ben Kingsley, Woody Harrelson and Emily Mortimer. I like the characters that Kingsley plays, he is so skilled. There is information about the movie below.

I must say Canada's performance at the Olympics is no longer pathetic.
