Come As You Are by Nirvana
Yesterday I watched Definitely, Maybe and although it is sort of a "chick" flick, I enjoyed it. It stars Ryan Reynolds and follows his many loves throughout the early and mid 1990's. The backdrop for the movie is local and national politics in New York state and the Presidency of Bill Clinton. One of Reynolds girlfriends introduces him to Nirvana and Kurt Cobain through the song Come As You Are, thus the blog title. Also in this movie is the brilliant Racheal Weisz and the very cute Abigail Breslin plays Reynolds young daughter. It is her demands to know the story of her father's life before her, which leads to the unfolding of the movie. Information about the movie is below.

An opinion piece from the New York Times about how Hillary and McCain are teaming up on Obama, I liked the sarcastic tone of the article.

The Time of Times by Badly Drawn Boy (This is me)
I started reading Beloved by Toni Morrison, winner of the 1988 Pulitzer Prize for fiction, and the following has stuck with me.
"A man ain't nothing but a man," said Baby Suggs. "But a son? Well now, that's somebody."
